USSC Territory Sales Associate

Summary

This is a full time position providing support for the South East Region-(Hillsborough / Polk / Pinellas / Orange / Pasco / Lee / Manatee / Sarasota counties and surrounding area.) Responsible for supporting all field sales activities in a specified territory and growing top line revenues. The Territory Sales Associate implements territory sales activities and is responsible for achieving sales objectives set by the Vice President of Specialty Pharmacy. Customers include physicians, hospitals, clinics and payors in the territory. Travel is expected 100% of the time and in addition some evenings and weekends for events and occasional overnight travel for sales conferences or client meetings.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Promotes products and services to physicians, patients, payors, and other customers in the geographic territory.
  • Develops strategic and tactical business plans based on local and regional market.
  • Identifies new program and new business opportunities for the company; reports to their Manager.
  • Completes all sales reports on a timely basis and submits to Manager.
  • Travels to customer locations, supplier facilities, trade shows, and conferences; including weeknights and weekends when needed.
  • Assists with marketing and direct mailing campaigns.
  • Plans, implements, and attends meetings sponsored by clients or special interest groups to promote product and services as determined by the Vice President of Specialty Pharmacy.
  • Answer phone calls as needed and performs outbound calls to doctors for sales calls and follow up.
  • Participates in sales training programs including product trainings, manufacturer trainings, and internal procedure training as needed.
  • Runs, utilizes, and maintains expense reports.
  • Responsible for daily tracking of accounts in Salesforce.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Associates Degree required; Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from a four-year College or university preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ sales experience in the pharmaceutical manufacturer industry, specialty pharmacy, home infusion or specialty infusion setting preferred.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft products.
